The visitors send Taijuan Walker to the mound; Walker was 1-2 with a 3.60 ERA in three starts last year and then went 4-0 with a 0.67 ERA in 27 spring innings, earning a spot in the starting rotation from his performance. His team though looked pretty anemic in its opening series vs. the Angels, dropping two of three, managing just two hits in yesterday's 2-0 defeat and falling 5-3 yesterday. The A's are coming off a four-game split with the Rangers in their opening series, falling 10-1 yesterday, after winning 10-0 the previous day. Sending Drew Pomeranz to the hill is a good way to get back into the winners circle, he was 5-4 with a 2.35 ERA in 10 starts and 10 relief appearances last season and was 2-0 with a 0.82 ERA in one start and four relief appearances vs. the M's in 2014. In my opinion, this is the very definition of great line value, play on OAKLAND.
