These teams will finish their respective seasons this evening, Florida would lose 4-1 to Montreal on Sunday, but bounced back with a 4-2 win over the Bruins on Saturday. One player to keep your eyes on today is Panther goaltender Roberto Luongo, who is 5-1-0 with a 1.83 GAA in his last seven home starts. Luongo will be especially motivated today after allowing seven goals on 27 shots in two losses vs. the Devils this season (note that he'd posted a 1.27 GAA in winning the previous seven vs. them though). New Jersey simply can't wait for the final horn to blare tonight, it's coming off its third straight road loss and ninth in ten games in Thursday's 4-3 OT setback to Tampa Bay. New Jersey goaltender Cory Schneider has been particularly horrible of late, he's lost seven-straight starts during which he's posted a ballooned 3.10 GAA. With a chance to impress the home town crowd before another long off season, I think that FLORIDA will in fact take care of business here, lay the price with confidence.
