Chris Sale makes his season debut today and I expect him to make the most of it. Sale would finish 12-4 with a 2.17 ERA in 26 starts in 2014 and averaged 10.76 K's per nine innings to rank second in the league behind Clayton Kershaw and third in the AL with a .205 opponent batting average. And that's bad news for Minnesota as Sale is 6-1 with a 2.70 ERA in eight career starts vs. it. The visitors counter with Phil Hughes (0-1, 6.00 ERA) who gave up four runs, including two dingers, off eight hits over six frames in a loss to Detroit on Monday. Unfortunately a date vs. the Sox is not what the doctor ordered to get untracked for Hughes, he's lost his last two matchups vs. them and has pitched past the fifth frame only once in the past five in the series. Another major mis-match on the mound, lay the price with confidence on the WHITE SOX.
