At 37-43, the Pacers sit one game behind seventh-place Boston, but the Celtics control the tie-breaker, so to earn a berth in the postseason, Indiana needs to finish with a better record than the Nets. During the recent surge the Pacers have averaged 106.0 points and shot 43.9 percent from 3-point range, most recently pulling away for a 116-104 victory over OKC on Sunday. Washington has won five of six and will almost assuredly be in the fifth seed to face either Toronto or Chicago in the first round. With the pressure off at this point, it's hard not to imagine the Wizards in some small way coming in a bit complacent here. Not only is Washington just 15-24 ATS on the road this year, it's also only 8-14 ATS after scoring 105 points or more. Conversely, note that Indiana is 21-18 ATS in front of the home town crowd this season and 12-7 ATS after scoring 105 points or more. Consider a second look at the PACERS in this one.
