This is a 6* RUN-LINE DESTRUCTION on the Atlanta Braves.
In a contest which I expect to be decided late or in extra innings, I have no problem at all in laying the price for the extra 1.5 runs of insurance. Miami notched its second win of the year in Tuesday's 8-2 win over Atlanta, but I think will have a predictable letdown here. The visitors send Dan Haren to the mound, Haren would give up one run over six frames in his team's 10-9 win over Tampa Bay on Friday, not factoring into the decision. The home side counters with Eric Stults, who gave up five runs in a 5-3 loss to the Mets on Friday. Stults last faced the Marlins while with San Diego back on May 10th and would give up two runs over six innings of a 9-3 victory. Haren had a pretty decent season a year ago, but his one glaring weakness was his play on the road where he finished just 6-7 with a pedestrian 4.75 ERA. Stults on the other hand posted a 4.03 ERA in friendly confines in 2014. I think Haren is clearly the better pitcher, but simply think this is a bad match-up for him and one we can take advantage of; play on the BRAVES on the RUN-LINE.
