What's the first thing that comes into your head when you think about these two teams? For me, it's extremely tough defensive play and solid goaltending. While I often like to go against long-standing trends, in this case I am expecting a classic, grind-it-out playoff affair and ultimately look for this total to fall below the posted number once the final horn blares. Minnesota made a trade for goaltender Devan Dubnyk in January, a move which completely turned the team's fortunes around and which helped it take out the Blues in six games. The Hawks would take care of business in six as well vs. Nashville in their opening round. Both teams have a ton of playoff experience over the last two years, take note that Minnesota has seen the total go UNDER the number in six of nine this year when playing with three days of rest, while Chicago has seen the total dip below the posted number in 19 of 27 this season after scoring four goals or more in its previous contest. I think that the writing is on the wall and a low-scoring goaltenders battle is in the cards, play on the UNDER.
