The visitors send Jake Odorizzi (5-5, 2.30 ERA) to the hill to open the second half, he'd throw 5 2/3's shutout innings in a win over the Astros on Saturday and he has now given up three runs or less in seven of his last eight starts. The home side counters with Drew Hutchinson (8-2, 5.33 ERA) who is coming off an outing to forget in which he gave up four runs in a no-decision vs. the White Sox on Wednesday. Hutchinson though has to be feeling pretty confident that he can bounce back here today as he's a near-perfect 6-1 with a tiny 2.12 ERA in front of the home town crowd this season. After an extra couple of days off, there's no reason not to think that these two competent starters won't come in focused on the task at hand and I think that determination will translate into a classic pitchers duel, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
