This is an 8* play on the OVER between Florida State and Boston College.
Both teams come in at 2-0. Florida State is looking to move up in the Associated Press Top 25 and earn a victory in its ACC opener after a pair of wins from schools outside the Power Five conferences. Boston College has gotten the job done with tough defensive play so far, but obviously now faces its stiffest test with the high-flying Seminoles on deck tonight. The Eagles will be eager to duplicate their effort in Week 3 of the 2014 season in which they knocked off ninth-ranked USC. One player to keep your eyes on for the visitors is RB Dalvin Cook, who had 266 yards and three TD's in last week's victory over South Florida and who has 422 rushing yards through two games, which is second most in the nation. With BC forced to stack the box and stay honest, QB Everett Golson is going to be able to take some shots down field. It's also interesting to note that FSU has scored on all 11 of its second-half possessions this year. And note that from an O/U trend based stand-point, this play is about as strong as you could possibly ask for, as FSU has seen the total go OVER the posted number in seven of its last nine as a road favorite and in 11 of its last 18 vs. conference opponents, while BC has seen the total sail above the number in eight of its last 13 as an underdog and in nine of its last 15 when playing with six or less days rest. We played this one early and got a poor line (51), but we still love this selection, all signs do indeed point to a high-scoring shootout, play on the OVER.
