This is an 8* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between Miami Ohio and Western Kentucky.

Miami Ohio lost for a tenth straight time vs. Cincinnati last weekend, but the RedHawks showed some promise by gaining 228 yards on the ground, while also forcing four turnovers on the defensive side of the ball. WKU is led by QB Brandon Doughty, who is third in the country in passing yards and completion percentage already and who has plenty of receiving weapons around him; note though that the offense took a major hit with the loss of leading rusher Leon Allen, meaning that the unit is becoming more and more one dimensional by the week, a factor that Miami Ohio (and us!) can take advantage of. WKU clearly struggles defensively, but obviously catches a break this week, it's a "bend but don't break" defense, which has forced six turnovers and held teams to seven TD's in 16 trips inside the red zone. The RedHawks will have their work cut out for them defensively, but the unit does have five sacks and four INT's so far this year. But if Miami Ohio has any chance at an outright upset, it needs to control the clock while on offense, running the ball and managing game-play so as to limit the time that WKU's offense is actually on the field of play. Note that the RedHawks have seen the total go UNDER the number in nine of their last 15 after two or more consecutive SU losses, while WKU has seen the total go UNDER the number in nine of its last 17 when playing the role of favorite. All signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
