This is an 8* ASSASSIN on the Toronto Blue Jays.

With a win over the Orioles today, along with a little outside help, the Blue Jays can clinch their first AL East title in 22 years. Toronto rallied in yesterday's series opener and scored twice in the eighth and once in the ninth for the 4-3 win: "We can win any way possible," said the Jays' Justin Smoak afterwards. "This team is unbelievable. Guys fight to the end." Toronto is also looking to finish with the best record in the AL and secure home-field advantage throughout the playoffs as it sits one game ahead of Kansas City. The visitors hand the ball to Marcus Stroman (3-0, 1.89 ERA) who has given up one run off 11 hits over 14 innings over his last two starts, beating both the Red Sox and Yankees, most recently going seven shut-out innings in a 4-0 victory over New York on Wednesday. The home side counters with Miguel Gonzalez (9-11, 4.85 ERA) who returns to the mound after missing a month with a right shoulder issue, the right-hander is 0-5 with a deplorable 7.46 ERA in seven starts since his last win back on July 25th; also note that Gonzalez is a brutal 0-4 with a ballooned 6.81 ERA in seven outings at Camden Yards since May 19th. While it's true that Gonzalez has enjoyed some success vs. the Blue Jays in the past, we feel that he'll have his hands full today vs. this focused, highly motivated and explosive Toronto line-up. And we'll also give Stroman the big nod in this matchup, indeed making this a price that we can live with paying. Play on the BLUE JAYS.
