This particular play is based on a few different factors:
Desperation leads to tough defensive play: The Broncos are 16-9 this season but have lost four of their last five games. Note that Boise State allows an average of 72.2 PPG and is 11-2 at home this year. We fully expect the home side to buckle down on the defensive end of the floor tonight as it looks to break out of its slide.
Poor offensive play: The Cowboys are averaging just 69.3 PPG while allowing 70.3.
ATS statistics: Note that Wyoming has seen the total go UNDER the number in six of nine road games this year and in six of ten when playing the role of underdog, while Boise State has seen the total dip below the posted number in seven of ten this season after scoring 80 points or more and in seven of ten when the total in the game is set between 140 and 149.5.
The bottom line: When taking into account all of the above factors, all signs do indeed point to the UNDER as the savvy move in this contest.
