This particular play is based entirely on strong and relevant ATS statistics:
Note that Louisiana Monroe is 7-3 ATS this season off a win vs. a conference rival and 11-5 ATS vs. the conference overall, while South Alabama is just 4-6 ATS vs. teams with winning records and only 1-2 ATS this year in revenging a blowout loss of 20 points or more.
The bottom line: "Revenge" is a powerful motivating factor, but it can be overrated as well. And that's the case here, in their first meeting this season ULM would destroy South Alabama 100-68 on January 23rd. We're expecting another beatdown today, the WARHAWKS are on a real roll and we have a hard time seeing a letdown in this one.
