Note that LA has seen the total go OVER the number in all three games that it's played this year as a road dog of 6.5 to nine points and in seven of its last eight in the same position over the last three, while San Antonio has seen the total eclipse the posted number in 12 of 20 this year after allowing 85 points or less and in four of six as a home fav of 6.5 to nine points.
The bottom line: These teams have split a pair of games this season with each winning on its own floor. San Antonio has won 44 straight on its home floor, its last loss there came against the Clippers in last season's playoffs. There is no love loss between these clubs and with each looking to push the pace from the outset, all signs do indeed point to the OVER as the savvy move in this contest.
