This is a 10* TOTAL BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between Syracuse and Virginia.
With a trip to the Final Four on the line, we expect these two normally defensive minded schools to come out and play to a classic, lower-scoring "chess match," rather than a run-and-gun shootout. The Orange definitely looked primed for a letdown here after battling back from a seven-point deficit late in the game to beat Gonzaga 63-60 in their Sweet 16 matchup. Virginia jumped out to a monster lead in its matchup vs. Iowa State and never looked back, holding on for the 84-71 victory. It's a battle of the ACC and each will be scrapping tooth and nail to try and secure the victory, but note that when they played their only other game against each other this season, the Cavs won 73-65 on January 24th in Charlottesville. All signs point to an absolute war today. Note that the Orange have seen the total go UNDER the number in four of six this year when playing with one or less days of rest and in all three so far in this tournament, while Virginia has seen the total dip below the posted number in 14 of 21 vs. conference opponents, the rivalry consistently bringing out the best in the Cavaliers vaunted defense. This number is just a little hight play on the UNDER.
