AAA's 10* Opening Round TOTAL OF THE YEAR (+$47,000 NBA RUN!)
(NBA) Memphis vs. San Antonio, 04/17/2016 4:00 PM, Score: 74 - 106
Total: 189.50 | -105.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is a 10* Opening Round TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the OVER between the Memphis Grizzlies and the San Antonio Spurs.

No one is giving the Grizzlies much of a chance in this series and rightfully so. Memphis backed its way into the postseason after losing starters Marc Gasol and Mike Conley. Memphis lost nine of its last ten down the stretch, but did remain competitive, taking Golden State to the brink two weeks ago in a 100-99 home setback. I won't try to convince you that the Grizzlies are going to surprise the Spurs here, or have any shot at winning this series, but the players have to believe they can coming in and in Game 1, it's do-or-die for the visitors. Expect Memphis to push the pace of this one from the outset as to get the Spurs out of their comfort and defensive zones. The Grizzlies averaged 99.1 points and gave up 101.3, they were paced by big man Zach Randolph, who went on to average 15.3 points and 7.8 boards. That shoddy defense will be tested by a San Antonio team that averaged 103.5 points on 48.4 percent shooting and one which will be looking to make a statement in the opener of this series (not only to the Grizzlies, but to the rest of the Western Conference). San Antonio was the league's best defensive team, but we think it will be looking to push the pace as to take advantage of the shallow Grizz lineup. Keep your eyes on Kawhi Leonard, who averaged 21.2 points and 2.6 assists this season. Note that Memphis saw the total go OVER the number in three of four this year as a road dog of 12.5 points or more, while San Antonio has seen the total sail above the number in 11 of 18 this season as a home fav in the same points range. Expect this one to creep OVER the number as the game comes down the stretch.
