So far Chicago White Sox' ace Chris Sale has been lights-out, he's 3-0 with a 2.35 ERA. Most recently Sale struck out nine in a complete game shutout in Friday's 1-0 victory over the Rays. The Rays came into that game struggling at the plate and Sale took full advantage. Sale's counterpart though has also been sharp and we're expecting another tight battle until the end. Garrett Richards is 0-2 with a 3.57 ERA. He's actually thrown quite well this year, most recently he'd allow two runs off four hits with one walk while stirking out six over six innings in a no-decision vs. the Twins on Friday. Richards has yet to allow more than three earned runs while striking out at least six hitters in each of his three starts thus far (note that Richards posted a respectable 3.52 ERA in all day games last season). All signs point to these two competent starters battling into the latter frames, we're going to lay the price for the extra 1.5 runs of insurance. Play on the ANGELS on the RUN-LINE.
