This is a pitching mismatch of Titanic proportions and that makes this a price in which we have no issues at all in laying. Detroit hands the ball to Matt Boyd (1-2, 4.91 ERA) who comes in off his best start of the year, shutting out Minnesota over six innings. Boyd though has struggled in this spot all season, going 0-1 with a deplorable 8.50 ERA on the road thus far. The home side counters with arguably the best pitcher in the World, Chris Sale (14-3, 3.18) who received a no-decision vs. the Mariners on Monday despite giving up zero runs off one hit to go along with six strikeouts over eight innings. Sale backed his way into the All Star break, giving up 12 runs in as many innings, but the extended time off to regroup and refocus clearly paid big dividends for the southpaw. Sale now has 20 wins on the season in his sights and we're expecting the WHITE SOX' ace to find a way to get the job done this evening and to easily outduel his inconsistent counterpart.
