We're "getting back on the horse" with this pick as we've played the OVER in two straight with the Yanks. Both have been losses. New York has now seen the total go UNDER the number in 11 straight games. Suffice it to say, we're expecting that lopsided trend to end this evening. The visitors hand the ball to CC Sabathia (5-8, 4.04 ERA) who has steadily regressed as the season has progressed, most recently getting blasted for four runs off seven hits in a loss to Baltimore on Thursday. Sabathia has now given up four-plus runs on seven-plus hits over his last six starts and has gone 0-4 with an atrocious 7.46 ERA in the process. It's hard to say anything negative about Doug Fister (10-6, 3.42), the veteran is having a resurgent season and is coming off a dominant win over the A's. Note though that Fister does own a rather pedestrian 4.00 ERA in front of the home town crowd this year. No need to overthink this one in our opinion, the Astros will be hungry to atone after yesterday's pathetic performance, while New York will look to build off the victory. All signs point to this one finally going OVER the posted number.
