AAA's VERY EARLY *ESPN* ULTIMATE BLOCKBUSTER!
(NCAAF) Hawaii vs. Michigan, 09/03/2016 8:00 AM, Score: 3 - 63
Total: 54.50 | -105.00 Over
Result: Loss
This is an 8* ULTIMATE BLOCKBUSTER on the UNDER between Hawaii and Michigan.

Setting the scene: The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors opened the year with a spectacular 51-31 loss to California in Australia last week. Many predict that Michigan could be battling for a spot in the championship game and we think it will control the tempo of this one from the outset.

Hawaii: Flying around the World to play sports is difficult even for professionals, but more so for College students. We think Hawaii comes into this one flat and disoriented. The Warriors offense looked pretty good against the Golden Bears, but is going to be in for a rude awakening vs. perhaps the Big Ten's best defensive unit. QB Ikaika Woolsey wasn't overly impressive hitting just 50 percent of his passes for 234 yards and one TD to one INT. Note that Hawaii averaged just 18 PPG last year and 21 the year before that. The Warriors have a decent defensive front, but the secondary is a mess as evidenced by the blowout loss to Cal. That said, they'll catch a bit of a break today in facing an offense which will be committed to the run and short crossing routes.

Michigan: The Wolverines finished 10-3 in Jim Harbaugh's first year. As mentioned above, the strength of the home side is on the defensive side of the ball, last year the unit allowed just 16.4 PPG and had a three game stretch where it posted shutouts. The offense has to replace QB Jake Rudock, so expect a few growing pains out of the gate and a commitment to the ground game to alleviate pressure.

The bottom line: For all the fanfare surrounding the Wolverines' season opener, this is going to be a pretty boring game to watch. Expect Michigan to be in full command from start to finish and for this total to stay well below the posted number. Play the UNDER.
