This is an 8* BOUNCE BACK BLOWOUT on the Toronto Blue Jays.
Setting the scene: After taking two of three from the Orioles, the Jays have come out flat in back-to-back losses in Tampa Bay. We think the hard-hitting visitors bounce back in the finale though, before heading to New York to take on the Yanks and then back home to face the Red Sox.
JA Happ: He's 17-4 with a 3.23 ERA. Most recently he gave up three runs off six hits over six innings in a no-decision at Baltimore on Tuesday. Happ has been good on the road (7-2, 3.39), but spectacular in all day contests (9-1, 2.84).
Chris Archer: He's 8-17 with a 4.10 ERA. Most recently he gave up three runs off four hits over seven innings in a victory over Houston on Sunday. After a dreadful start, Archer has looked a lot better since the All Star break.
The bottom line: Let's call the starters a "wash." Toronto's loss last night, coupled with the Red Sox win in Oakland now has the rivals tied atop the AL East standings. The Jays can ill afford to look past the lowly Rays today with such a gruelling part of their schedule on deck. We think TORONTO comes in focused and scores the win.
