Total: 46.00 | -105.00 Over
Result: Win
This is an 8* play on the UNDER between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Chicago Bears.

Setting the scene: Two teams which are already looking ahead to next season collide on Sunday afternoon and we're definitely expecting a lower-scoring affair once it's all said and done.

The Jaguars: Jacksonville has had a week off after besting the Colts 30-27 in London, while Chicago comes in off a 29-23 loss at the hands of Indianapolis. The defense actually looked pretty good, it would hold the high-flying Colts to a total of just 284 yards, including 190 through the air. We think with a week off to heal up and re-focus that the defense has another big opportunity this week in facing a Chicago offense still searching for an identity. Note that the Jags average just 21 PPG on only 320.8 YPG. They're simply too one dimensional, as the run game is ranked 30th. Blake Bortles has seven TD's, but also six INT's.

The Bears: Starting QB Jay Cutler was lost almost immediately and Brian Hoyer has been thrust into the spotlight in Chicago. In three games as starter, Hoyer is 1-2. Last week he was 23 of 33 for 397 yards and two TD's and no INT's. So far the offense has averaged just 17 PPG though, ranked 30th out of 32 teams. The defense ranks 14th in total yards and 21st in points allowed.

The bottom line: Note that Jacksonville has seen the total go UNDER the number in two of its last three off a win against a division rival, while Chicago has seen the total dip below the posted number in 11 of its last 17 in front of the home town crowd and in four of its last six when playing the role of favorite. We're unimpressed with either offense and look for each to stall. Play on the UNDER.
