Nick Tepesch is one of the worst starting pitchers in the majors and he hasn't pitched in 10 days while dealing with a sore knee. That doesn't bode well for Texas.

Rays starter Jeremy Hellickson was sharp in his last start this past Wednesday, but is still on the comeback trail following elbow surgery that sidelined him for three months. He had failed to get past the fifth inning during his three previous outings.

Hellickson does not have a good history versus the Rangers with a 5.32 ERA in five career starts. Adrian Beltre, Shin-Soo Choo and Alex Rios are batting a combined .400 against him. Rios is expected to play today after missing Monday's game with a sprained ankle. The Rangers have homered in six of their past seven games.

The forecast is for wind blowing out to right at around 10 mph. Arlington is a top hitter's park late in the season when the Texas humidity kicks in.

Joe West is slated to be the home plate umpire. The over has cashed 76 percent the past 27 times West has been behind the plate.
