Schule's NHL ULTIMATE of the ULTIMATE
(NHL) Arizona vs. Minnesota, 10/23/2014 4:00 PM, Score: 0 - 2
Money Line: -178.00 Minnesota (Home)
Result: Win
This is an 8* play on the Minnesota Wild.

The Wild started the season off with a 5-0 home win against the Avs, but have since played three consecutive games on the road. Tonight they're back in Minnesota for the first time in two weeks, and will take on a struggling Coyotes team.

Arizona has had the worst defense in the NHL this season, conceding 22 goals over their five games. Neither Mike Smith or Devan Dubnyk have performed well between the pipes, with the former allowing 16 goals on 90 shots over his three starts. Arizona has been decent enough on offense, finding the net 16 times but keep in mind that six of these goals was on the power play.

They may not be able to count on their special teams tonight. The Wild have one the best penalty killing units in the league, boasting a 92% kill rate and only surrendering one power-play goal so far. Goalie Darcy Kuemper has of course played a big part of that, with the Canadian being one of the hottest goalies in the NHL conceding only two goals on 72 shots over his three games. Minnesota should hold a decent home advantage as well.

No team comes to Xcel Energy Center and picks up easy points. The Wild were ranked seventh in the league on home ice last season, going 26-10-5.

Take MIN.
