This is an 8* play on the New Jersey Devils.

The Blue Jackets are in a tough spot in New Jersey tonight, trying to put an end to a four game losing streak. An injury plagued roster is partly to blame, and up to eight players are expected to miss this game including names like Boone Jenner, Matt Calvert and Nathan Horton. It's starting goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky that they will miss the most though.

New Jersey found themselves struggling in the middle of October as well, losing four straight games but have now won two of their last three. They're showing one of the best power plays in the league, scoring on 25% of their chances to play with a man advantage for 14 goals total. They are likely to get a goal or two on the power play tonight as the Blue Jackets have allowed a goal on six of their last 14 penalties.

These meetings have favored the home team in the past, with the hosts picking up the win in four of the last five meetings. Columbus misfortune in New Jersey dates further back than that though, with the team dropping five of the last six meeting at Prudential Center.

Take NJ.
