Detroit finds itself in a battle for a playoff spot in the East after losing four of it's last five. Tonight's home game against Carolina is an absolute "must win", as they are only two points clear of the Senators. The Canes won't likely have a lot of fight left in them, coming off a loss last night to the cellar dwelling Sabres in Buffalo. With Cam Ward playing last night, Carolina will hand the reigns to Anton Khudobin who was lit up for six goals in a loss at Florida in his most recent start. He's 0-5 with a 3.20 GAA in his last five starts. If the Wings can't win this game, they really have no business playing in the post-season. The Canes have lost seven of their last eight visits to Detroit, and it's going to be very tough to improve on those numbers here in Motor City tonight.
