Schule's MLB AFTERNOON EXECUTIONER - **EARLY START**
(MLB) Milwaukee vs. St. Louis, 04/13/2015 12:15 PM, Score: 5 - 4
Money Line: -167.00 St. Louis (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cards are just a half game back of Cincinnati in the NL Central, and they have a favorable matchup at home today against division rivals Milwaukee. The Brewers have struggled, with just one win in six games.

Adam Wainwright will toe the slab for St. Louis, and he's coming off a dominant showing in his debut. The right-hander tossed six scoreless innings, striking out six in a 3-0 win over the Cubs on Opening Day. He's been one of the best in the business for almost a decade, and last year he was 20-9, with a 2.38 ERA. He was 3-1 with a 2.97 ERA in four starts versus the Brewers.

Milwaukee will hand the ball to Matt Garza, who was rocked in his debut. The 31 year old was tagged for four runs on eight hits over five innings in a 5-2 loss to Colorado. He wasn't great on the road last year, going 2-4 with a 4.69 ERA in 13 starts. He allowed nine runs on 15 hits over 16 innings, going 0-2 in three starts versus the Cardinals.

St. Louis is the hotter team, with a red hot ace facing a struggling pitcher and a team that hasn't been able to score runs.

Take STL.
