Schule's MLB AFTERNOON EXECUTIONER - **EARLY START**
(MLB) Milwaukee vs. St. Louis, 04/16/2015 9:45 AM, Score: 0 - 4
Money Line: -139.00 St. Louis (Home)
Result: Win
This is a play on the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cards have split the first two games of this home series with Milwaukee, and they play the series finale this afternoon. The Brewers haven't impressed so far this season, and I think their struggles will continue in St. Louis today.

John Lackey will toe the slab for the home team, looking to bounce back from a tough outing in his debut. The veteran allowed four runs on four hits and two walks in a no decision at Cincinnati. He's likely to be more successful at home, where he was 2-0 with a 2.38 ERA in five starts last season (Busch Stadium).

The Brewers hand the ball to Mike Fiers, who was rocked in his first start of the season. Fiers (0-1, 9.00 ERA) allowed five runs on seven hits over five innings in a 6-2 loss to Pittsburgh. He didn't look good in the pre-season either, going 1-2 with a 4.74 ERA, with nine walks in just 13 innings.

The Brewers are really struggling at the plate, scoring only 23 runs in nine games.

Take STL.
