(MLB) Cincinnati vs. St. Louis, 07/29/2015 4:15 PM, Score: 1 - 0
Money Line: -159.00 St. Louis (Home)
Result: Loss
This is an 8* play on the St. Louis Cardinals.

The Cardinals have split the first two games of this home series versus Cincinnati, but I like them to bounce back with a win here tonight in the rubber match. The Cardinals still own the best home record in the majors, and they've won 52 of their last 69 home games.

John Lackey will toe the slab for St. Louis, looking for his 10th win of the season. Lackey (9-5, 2.88 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on six hits over seven innings in a home win over the Royals his last time out. He's 7-2 with a 1.97 ERA in 11 starts at Busch Stadium this season.

The Reds hand the ball to Anthony Desclafani, who is winless in his last seven appearances. Desclafani (5-7, 3.98 ERA) allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks over seven innings in a loss to Colorado his last time out. He was torched for six runs on eight hits in five innings, losing at home to Cleveland prior to that.

Even if Desclafani can match serves with Lackey, the Cardinals own the National League's best bullpen, while Cincinnati's relievers rank better than only the Colorado Rockies.

Take STL.
