The Braves edged out Miami at home again last night, and they are now 30-22 at Turner Field this season. The Fish are one of the worst road teams in baseball, with a record of 17-38 away from Marlins Park. We are getting a great price on Atlanta here as they go for the sweep on Sunday.
Shelby Miller will toe the slab for the Braves, and he's been really unfortunate in recent outings. Miller (5-8, 2.44 ERA) allowed two runs on four hits over seven innings in a no decision versus the Giants his last time out. He's been at his best at home and during the day, and this looks like an ideal spot to back the 24 year old right-hander.
The Marlins will hand the ball to Brad Hand, who comes out of the bullpen to make a spot start. Hand (1-2, 4.71 ERA) tossed four scoreless innings in a no decision versus the Mets his last time out. His numbers on the road are just scary, going 0-2 with a 9.18 ERA in 13 appearances.
Nick Markakis is 7-for-13 with six RBIs in the first three games of this series, and he's hitting .303 for the season.
