The Seahawks host the Broncos in Week 1 of the pre-season, and they will be one of the bigger favorites on the board. Everyone is well aware that head coach Pete Carrol has a reputation for playing to win, no matter what is at stake. Seattle is 10-2 in pre-season games over the last three years, and Carrol is 13-7 in his career.
The Broncos beat Seattle in Denver in Week 1 of last year's pre-season, and surprisingly head coach Jim Fox wasn't very conservative with Peyton Manning's playing time. The 39 year old played most of the first half, throwing for 78 yards and no scores on 10-of-13 passing. Fox has moved on to Chicago, and his replacement Gary Kubiak would be wise to keep Manning on the bench here tonight.
Brock Osweiler completed 6-of-12 passes for 1 TD and an INT in last year's game, but he engineered a game winning drive in the fourth quarter, to help the Broncos come from behind and stun Seattle. Russell Wilson isn't likely to see much time, but backup Tavaris Jackson is more than capable of running the offense.
