The Royals rallied to beat the Red Sox 8-6 at Fenway yesterday, and they host the Orioles in Game 1 of a four game set at Kauffman Stadium tonight. The Royals are 42-20 at home, while Baltimore is just 25-36 on the road.
Kris Medlen will toe the rubber for the Royals, and he's making his first start since joining the team. He's been pretty good out of the bullpen, in fact he hasn't allowed a run while striking out seven in eight innings pitched in August. The 29 year old was 10-1 with a 1.57 ERA in his rookie season (2012) with Atlanta, and he followed that up with a solid season in 2013. He missed all of last year recovering from his second Tommy John surgery.

Eric Hosmer was 2-for-5 with a couple RBIs last night, and he's hitting .346 with a pair of home runs lifetime versus Jimenez.
