With a comfortable lead in the AL Central, the Royals have been fading down the stretch. They come into Game 3 in Cleveland as losers of eight of their last 11.

Danny Salazar will toe the slab for the Tribe, and he's been hot in the second half. Salazar (12-8, 3.57 ERA) allowed three runs on seven hits over 6 1/3 innings in a home win over Detroit his last time out. He's 5-2 with a 3.25 ERA in 10 starts at home, and he was 3-1 with a 2.53 ERA in five starts in August.

The Royals hand the ball to Danny Duffy, and the southpaw has lost three straight. Duffy (7-7, 4.14 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on three hits and three walks over five innings in a loss at Baltimore his last time out. He's only faced Cleveland once this year, and that didn't go well, as he was chased in the first inning after allowing four runs on six hits.

That's not all that surprising when you consider how well Cleveland has hit left-handed pitching.
