This is a 10* play on the Kansas City Royals.

The Kansas City Royals can claim the American League and secure home-field advantage throughout the post-season with a win here as the Toronto Blue Jays lost last night. They've won four consecutive games and I like their chances to close out the regular season by completing a three-game sweep against the Minnesota Twins.

Ricky Nolasco (5-1, 5.97) will toe the slab for the Twins making his first start since May 31. He tossed two innings out of the bullpen on Sept. 30 over which he surrendered three runs on two hits and a walk. The Royals bats have come alive again of late and Nolasco is likely to be pretty rusty.

The Royals hand the ball to Johnny Cueto (10-13, 3.48 ERA) who really struggled for while but has been better of late posting a 3.60 ERA in his last three starts. He held the Twins to one run on four hits over eight strong innings of a 2-1 win while with the Reds back in July.

Minnesota has lost 10 of Nolasco's last 14 starts against a team with a winning record and the Royals are 5-0 in the last five meetings in Minnesota.

Take KC.
