Game 1 ALDS - Schule's Astros vs. Royals *BLOCKBUSTER*
(MLB) Houston vs. Kansas City, 10/08/2015 3:37 PM, Score: 5 - 2
Money Line: -135.00 Kansas City (Home)
Result: Loss
This is a 10* play on the Kansas City Royals.

Both the Kansas City Royals and the Houston Astros finished the regular-season strong and the Astros dismissed the Yankees comfortably in their Wild Card game. Dallas Keuchel tossed in that game though and will be rested for tonight's contest and that makes me lean toward a Kansas City win here in the ALDS opener.

Yordano Ventura (13-8, 4.08) will toe the slab for the Royals and he was excellent when he held the Twins to one run on four hits with 11 strikeouts over seven innings of a 5-1 win his last time out. He was 3-1 with a 3.50 ERA in September and gave up only one run over seven innings against Houston on Jul 26 in his lone meeting this season.

The Astros hand the ball to Collin McHugh (19-7, 3.89 ERA) who's off a solid start as well when he conceded only one run on six hits over seven innings of a 6-2 win at Arizona. He had surrendered 10 runs on 14 hits over just nine innings in his last two road outings combined prior to that performance though and he's performed better home at Houston than on the road all season. He was 4-0 over five September starts despite posting a 4.31 ERA.

Houston has won only 19 of its last 60 road games while Kansas City is 6-1 in Ventura's last seven home starts. Jose Altuve is just 1-for-7 in previous match-ups with Ventura.

Take KC.
