This is an 8* play on the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have recorded back-to-back wins at Colorado and New Jersey and they're eyeing yet anther win at Washington Friday night. You could say they're due for an upswing after starting the season with eight consecutive losses, and I think they'll keep this a close game at the very minimum.

The Capitals had a five-game winning streak ended when they lost 3-1 to Pittsburgh Wednesday. Alex Ovechkin has gone two straight games without a goal and will face a red hot Sergei Bobrovsky who stopped 39 shots in a 3-2 overtime win at Washington last December. The Caps power play have gone stale after showing an incredible effiency over the first few games, and they're just 2-for-12 on the man advantage over their last four.

Columbus has been without its All-Star forward Ryan Johansen in its last two games, but he returned to practice Thursday and is likely to take the ice with the rest of the Blue Jackets tonight. The Blue Jackets are good at building on the momentum from a win and they're 13-3 in their last 16 games following a win. The Caps are likely to be in for a much tougher game than they expect here.

Take CBJ.
