This is a 5* play on the Seattle Mariners.
The Mariners come into Game 3 in LA as winners of seven straight, and I like their chances of completing the sweep of the Angels tonight.
Hisashi Iwakuma will toe the slab for Seattle, and he's been dealing in recent starts. Iwakuma (15-11, 3.96 ERA) allowed a pair of runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 innings in a 3-2 win at Oakland in his last start. He's seen plenty of the Angels during his time with the Mariners, and the LA lineup is batting just .227 against him. Both Trout and Pujols are batting below .200 with more strikeouts (22) than hits (19).
The Angels hand the ball to Jhoulys Chacin, who has been struggling mightily. Chacin (5-8, 5.63 ERA) allowed five runs on seven hits and three walks in just four innings in a loss at Seattle two weeks ago. He's faced the Mariners four times this season, surrendering 11 runs on 19 hits over 16 2/3 innings.
The Angels has lost six of their last seven overall, and they've struggled at the plate in the second half, ranking 23rd in the majors in runs scored since the All Star break.
