The Cougars have lost two of their first three games, but they were quite competitive in losses to UCLA and Utah. Their defense has been very impressive, allowing just 17.7 points per game despite playing three tough opponents. They limited the UCLA Bruins to just 357 total yards last week, and only 50 yards rushing. BYU will play the West Virginia Mountaineers at FedEx Field in Washington on Saturday, and the WVU is a significant favorite. The Mountaineers offense scored just 26 points at home to Missouri in Week 1, and a 38-21 win over Youngstown State doesn't inspire much confidence either. I think the total for today's game looks grossly inflated, especially considering that WVU has failed to reach the total in nine of it's last 13 at a neutral site, and 18 of it's last 24 overall. I expect another solid effort from the Cougars defense, and this should be a close, low scoring game.
