This is a 10* play on the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings are an enormous underdog on the road at Carolina this week, and I just don't think the Panthers should be asked to cover such a spread against one of the best defenses in the league. Perhaps people are overreacting to the injury to Adrian Peterson. Last year's rushing champion hadn't really gotten off the ground in either of the Vikings wins, totaling just 50 yards on 31 carries. Minnesota's success has come via the passing game, and strong defensive play. Sam Bradford has clearly changed the dynamic of this offense, and he had a huge game last week against Green Bay. The Panthers defense appears to be slightly vulnerable against the pass, giving up 243 yards and a pair of TDs to Blaine Gabbert last Sunday, after losing to Denver and rookie quarterback Trevor Siemian in Week 1. Cam Newton had his way with the 49ers, but I think the Vikings will cause him as much grief as Denver did in the season opener.
