The Jays are just one game up on the Orioles in the American League Wild Card race, and the two teams play Game 1 of a three game series at Rogers Center tonight.

Aaron Sanchez will toe the slab for the Jays, and he's owned the Orioles this season. Sanchez (13-2, 3.12 ERA) allowed one run on four hits over six innings in a no decision at Seattle his last time out. He's 3-0 with a 3.38 ERA in four previous starts versus Baltimore. The Orioles lineup has hit just .231 over 147 at bats versus the right-hander.

Kevin Gausman will go for the O's. and he's been rocked in a couple of starts against the Jays. Gausman (8-11, 3.57 ERA) was torched for five runs on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings in a home loss to Boston his last time out. He's 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA in two previous meetings with Toronto.

Baltimore is not a strong road at the best of times, and the O's are 7-21 in Gausman's last 28 road starts.
