New York Mets -1.5 (10*)
(MLB) Miami vs. NY Mets, 09/14/2015 3:10 PM, Score: 3 - 4
Point Spread: -1.50 | 121.00 NY Mets (Home)
Result: Loss
The Mets have won seven straight, and they host the Miami Marlins at Citi Field tonight. The Marlins aren't a great road team, and it's more than likely they get blown out tonight in New York. I'm taking the Mets on the runline.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Pitching - The Mets hand the ball to rookie right-hander Logan Verrett, who makes just his second career start. Verrett (1-1, 3.06 ERA) has primarily been used out of the bullpen, and he's been pretty effective striking out 26 batters over 32 innings. The Marlins counter with Justin Nicolino, who gave up five runs on nine hits over just 4.1 innings in a loss to the Brewers in his last start.

2. Yoenis Cespedes - The Mets slugger has recently been mentioned as a dark horse candidate for MVP in the National League. He's been on a tear since arriving at the trade deadline, and he's hitting .405 with six home runs and 16 RBIs over the past seven days.

3. X-Factor - The Mets have won five of their last seven versus Miami, and four four of those five games were blowouts.
