The Arizona State Sun Devils failed to live up to lofty expectations this season, but they can go out on a positive note, with a win over West Virginia in the Cactus Bowl. The PAC12 has looked pretty strong this bowl season, with Stanford, Utah, Washington, Washington State and California all winning their games. I don't think a mediocre team from a soft BIG12 Conference is going to match-up well against an Arizona State team that was considered one of the favorites in the PAC12 before the season started.
Here are my keys to the game:
1. Sun Devils Pass Rush - Only the Alabama Crimson Tide had more sacks among FBS teams than Arizona State this season. The Sun Devils got to the quarterback 44 times. Skylar Howard is going to be running for his life tonight. He was sacked 29 times during the season.
2. Home Cookin' - The game will be played at Chase Field, the home of MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks. It should be a pretty strong home crowd for the Sun Devils,
3. X-Factor - The Mountaineers are 1-5 ATS in their last six bowl games.
