However, the key is that the quality shots are going to the Pens and that has been a key difference maker in this series. That is why an elite goalie like the Capitals Braden Holtby has struggled while a goalie known for past post-season disappointments, Marc-Andre Fleury, has flourished. Until the Caps start elevating the puck more with their shots and getting real solid quality chances the struggles will continue. That said, time is running out and I look for the Pens to make the most of this opportunity to close this one out on the road. Keep in mind the Capitals have lost 4 of their last 5 home games dating back to the regular season while the Penguins are on an overall 7-2 run and have averaged scoring nearly 4 goals per game during this hot streak! Both teams have strong records this season when playing with 2 days of rest between games. However, the Capitals are really frustrated and will be clutching the sticks a little too tight tonight while the Penguins can play loose and relaxed and look to close this one out on the road knowing they still would have two more chances after this too!
