Afternoon Annihilation - Scott "The Bulldog" Rickenbach CFB Rotation #127 Thursday 10* Top Play Colorado State Rams (+) @ Air Force Falcons @ 2 ET - Great set up here. The Falcons are off a big win but faced a bad Lobos team. New Mexico hadn't even been practicing in their own state due to covid issues. Air Force came into that game rested and took advantage of the entire situation. Now it is the Rams in a good situation and Colorado State could get the upset here and I certainly like having the points here. Last season, the Rams lost at home to the Falcons by 17 points but outgained them in that game. Air Force has won 12 of the last 14 games between these teams but Colorado State had their game against UNLV cancelled last week and has a big rest edge in this one. Plus the Rams have been great against the run this season and that could shut down this Falcons offense. While on the other side of the ball it is the passing attack of the Colorado State offense that is a strength. That spells trouble for the Falcons defense. Keep in mind, prior to beating a bad Lobos team the Falcons had lost back to back games by double digit margins and gave up 49 points to Boise State. The Rams are 1-2 this season but are a rather small dog here for a reason. Don't be fooled by the number. This is a rivalry game and the underdog is a perfect 4-0 ATS the last 4 meetings. Colorado State is allowing only 105.7 rushing yards per game and the Falcons are averaging only 67 passing yards per game on offense. Air Force is likely to struggle moving the ball well and I look for the Rams to take advantage of an AF pass defense allowing nearly 70% completions in MWC games this season. More of the same here. 10* COLORADO STATE
