Rickenbach NHL *8* OVER 5.5 goals +125 in Anaheim vs Vancouver @ 10:05 ET - The Canucks registered 44 shots in their first road game this season and, ironically, 44 shots on goal is what the Ducks gave up in their first game of this season. As you can expect there are a lot of scoring chances with numbers like this and the Canucks did win their road opener by putting 5 in the back of the net. However, after falling short in their next game, 3-2 in overtime against the Flames, the Canucks are fired up about getting their offense back on track tonight. Speaking of fired up, I am expecting a big effort from Anaheim in the offensive zone tonight as they look to bounce back from a shutout loss in their season opener. In the past two seasons, the over has gone 19-7 when the Ducks are off of a game where they were held to one goal or less. Although the last 3 games between these clubs did stay under the total, prior to this the last 7 meeting had produced 6 overs. That said, the situational edges are such that the "over trend" should resume tonight with the Canucks going back into the "road warrior attack mode" they displayed in their season opener last week and the Ducks bouncing back on offense after an embarrassing shutout loss opened their season. Nice plus money here too with the over 5.5 offering a big plus money on the over side. I'll take it...considering the nice situational edges here. Play OVER 5.5 goals as an *8* selection Monday.
