Schneider missed practice yesterday. Even if he plays, he is likely to be distracted. If he doesn't play, it will likely be Keith Kincaid between the pipes for New Jersey. He struggled at Washington Saturday and the Devils dropped to 0-2 on the season. Conversely, the Predators are a red hot 2-0 on the season and they are getting fantastic goaltending. The Preds have allowed just one goal on the year so far as Pekka Rinne has been phenomenal between the pipes for Nashville. The other key for the Predators here is the fact that between the 10th and the 15th this is their only game. So Nashville has been fully focused on the Devils and fully focused on getting their 3 game road trip off to a great start. With a huge advantage between the pipes, the Predators are well worth the price on the road in this one. New Jersey is 17-40 in non-conference games and 13-25 when they are off of a game where they allowed 4 goals or more. The Devils also are 26-48 when they are playing against a team with a winning record. The Predators, in the first half of a season, are on a 25-13 run when playing a team with a losing record.
