On the other side the Tigers will be starting Eduardo Rodriguez for the first time since May 18, as the veteran had a long absence from the team. He is 1-2 with a 9.24 ERA in three career starts against the Angels. Last season Ohtani went 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA against Detroit.
