The Boston Red Sox are top of the AL East despite dropping three in a row, including back-to-back games against Baltimore. They need to end this slide now with the Yankees breathing down their neck, and I think the Red Sox will come through with a win here before heading on a seven-game trip to Toronto and the Bronx.

Today the Red Sox hand the ball to Doug Fister (3-6, 4.78 ERA) who held the Tribe to just one run on one hit in a complete game at Cleveland his last time out. Fister is 4-2 with a 4.47 ERA in nine career starts against Baltimore and the current Orioles are batting just .227 over 119 at bats against the right-hander.

The Orioles turn to Wade Miley (7-10, 5.11 ERA). The left-hander has held each of his last five opponents to three runs or fewer, but he's allowed a fair amount of base-runners and he's just 4-6 with a 5.43 ERA on the road this season.

The Red Sox are 10-3 in their last 13 home games and 5-1 in their last six games after losing the first two games of a series.. The Orioles are 1-7 in their last eight road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. The home team is 6-0 in Brian O'Noras last six games behind home plate.
