Pittsburgh righty Chris Archer (3-5, 4.40 ERA) struggled in his Pittsburgh debut, giving up five runs (four earned) through 4 1/3 innings against St. Louis. He has allowed three earned runs in four of his last five starts.

Colorado counters with righty German Marquez (9-8, 4.70 ERA) who is 4-0 with a 2.95 ERA over his past six starts. He has a good record against Pittsburgh, winning each of his three career starts with a 2.50 ERA.

Rockies are 13-3 in their last 16 home games vs. a team with a winning record. Pirates are 14-37 in their last 51 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
