The Cincinnati Reds claimed the series opener 2-1 Friday night. "We have good hitters up there but, right now, we're in a serious funk," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said after his team was held to two runs or fewer for the fifth time in 10 games. "And they're having trouble getting out of it."

I expect another low-scoring affair, but with a different winner here on Saturday with the Giants to come through despite their offensive slump.

San Francsisco southpaw Madison Bumgarner (4-4, 2.71 ERA) is 2-1 with a 3.79 ERA at Great American Ball Park throughout his career and has allowed just just five earned runs through his last four starts overall, over a span of 26 innings. Under is 12-3-2 in Bumgarner's last 17 starts with 4 days of rest.

Cincinnati right-hander Matt Harvey (5-7, 5.19 ERA) held the Diamondbacks to two runs over seven innings of the Reds' 6-3 victory last Saturday, but had surrendered 15 runs in his last three starts prior to that outing.

I expect Bumgarner to outduel Harvey for a Giants victory here.
