The LA Dodgers took a 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday to fall to 8-14 since July 29 and are now 3 1/2 games behind the Diamondbacks for the division lead. They're however 20-6 in their last 26 during game 3 of a series and I think they'll step it up a notch to defeated the Cardinals tonight.

LAD righty Walker Buehler (6-4, 3.19 ERA) has allowed a total of just four runs covering 25 1/3 innings through his last four starts. Dodgers are 4-1 in Buehler's last 5 home starts and he has compiled a 2.77 ERA in nine appearances (eight starts) at home this season. We can also note that he owns a 2.24 ERA in 11 night starts opposed to a 5.87 ERA during the day.

The Cards turn to Jack Flaherty (7-6, 3.05 ERA) who's had a terrific August so far (0.95 ERA in three starts), but he has done his best work during the day and the 22 year old could be due for a letdown game here.
